Planning on Course: Part IV
|
Sometime ago when my buddy and I went golfing on a bright Sunday morning, we came up with the perfect solution to global warming: methane emitted from cows and sheep would be gathered and stored and distributed to homes. The same methane would power the teleporters that we would use to get from A to B. Perfect.

We were chatting about the education system while we walked the green. We talked about how it’s inadequate and doesn’t quite meet the needs of today’s children. We also discussed the fact that none or rather most of the schools don’t provide enough emphasis on physical activities that’s led to more obese kids. Kids just aren't being educated properly these days. The two geniuses walked and talked. They hatched a plan to save children’s education. The plan was this:
|
Plan A: we stop procreating altogether. I read somewhere that a doctor was researching the possibility of living forever. If that comes through we won’t need to have an education system. We sterilize all males and pop the anti-ageing pill in them. They’ll live on forever and the world will have the same people until the sun dies out and we all die. From the money we save we can turn all the schools into golf courses, which would mean that all the people like us would have regular exercise. We can also use the money we save on schools and education and the money we save on children’s healthcare to conduct research into either a) building a new sun or b) making the old sun live forever. Perfect. Plan B: When a child’s brain has developed within the womb we inject a small chip into the fetus’ head. We can then start transferring data into the child’s head even before the child is born. Then when the child is born it will know how to speak, how to ask for things, how not to poo in its diapers and how not to wee on the person carrying it. After that we can periodically transfer data about how the world works, how important it is to exercise, how not to do wrong things and how to make sure that they take care of their parents no matter what. This would also eliminate the need for schools and will free up government funding to build more golf courses and to conduct research on how to make the sun live longer or build a new sun.

There, another problem solved. We are like superheroes, solving humanities problems on the golf course, far more efficient than any government institution, the UN or any load of university researchers. If you have a problem that needs solving come to us, we’ll play some golf and come up with an answer for you.
