In Store or Internet?
I don’t like shopping, especially when I go shopping with my wife. She tends to take longer than I'd prefer and she just loves to browse stuff that she isn't ever going to buy. She also loves to check to see if there are new arrivals even if she was in the same store a week ago. Most of my shopping needs can be met online. It’s very efficient and you don’t end up buying a bunch of things that you don’t want. I use the internet to do a lot of things and it has almost never let me down.

However, when it comes to holiday shopping it’s not about buying stuff for you. It’s about buying stuff for other people and that involves a bit of browsing around. The internet is a great place to buy electronics, books and maybe chocolates. But for things that are more personal, when it comes to the holidays, I prefer heading down to a store and seeing it for myself. No matter how advanced technology has become, I still can’t see the actual product that I am going to purchase. Therefore when it comes to things like clothes or shoes or things that are a little more personal, I prefer to be able to see the object that I am actually buying. My holiday shopping consists of a mix of both types. For instance, if I was buying a home theatre system for my son or a gaming console for my grandson or a camera for my granddaughter, I would buy it over the internet. It’s fast, cheaper and reliable. If I was buying something for my wife, however, I would go to the store and spend some time looking for something nice.

It’s a matter of choice actually. You could get anything you want over the internet. The only problem is that when it comes to personal items, I am not so confident. I once purchased a shirt over the web, simply because I was too lazy to go down to the store and when it arrived it was two sizes too large. If I’d gone to the store this would not have happened.
